Southern Pacific 4449
Today Kalamazoo received a visit from the Southern Pacific 4449 – and it had quite the crowd receiving it! In fact, people lined up along the railway throughout the SP449’s entire journey to see it.
Steam powered locomotives have not been used commonly for quite some time. For most people, this is the only opportunity they will have to see it. I have to say, it was really exciting to see so many people lined up waiting to see a train.
