I hope everybody out there is enjoying a good holiday season. Usually this time of year is full of wondrous photos from me, as the pull of beautiful lights and snow is hard to resist. I will admit that this year I’m a little short on holiday cheer. A few weeks ago my grandmother passed away and shortly thereafter my other grandmother fell quite ill. It’s been very trying and through it I have not found too much artistic inspiration.

However I did take a few photos recently to share. The Christmas flower, the poinsettia, is one of my favourites. I like seeing it everywhere come wintertime – it seems so out of place in the summer.
