The Lubitel is above and beyond the quirkiest camera I own. Manufacturedby LOMO in 1980-early-something, it was sold as a “toy” camera, but is a medium format and significantly better made than most toy cameras of any era. It is a twin-lens reflex camera, which changes the entire way you shoot with it. You look down, not out, and focus works best from a few inches away. It is also a square format camera. It’s pretty easy to push 35mm film through it, as well.
Due to the nature of 120, I’ve been developing the film myself. So, all of the medium format images (so far, at least) have been black and white.
Grungy and leaky and dusty and out of focus a little bit… I love this camera so much.
