Thanks for your interest in my fonts! I started making fonts somewhere around 1998-1999 after tinkering around in some vector software, and immediately became hooked. I’ve always had a strong interest in handwriting, and I was a calligraphy apprentice for several years. It seemed that the natural next step would be taking this interest into the computer. It’s many years later now, and my love for fonts has only been magnified. Due to my insanely busy life, I don’t get to tinker with fonts as much as I’d like to… but you can be certain I’ll still be making some more.
So you’ve found one of my fonts you like… what to do next?
Right-click on the link and save it.The file should end in “.ttf” or “.TTF”
Put it somewhere you can find it again.
If you are in Windows, go to your Windows/Font directory. Under “File” there should be “Install New Font”, or something similar. Take the browser tree to where you saved the font. Highlight it and click install.
It’s much better to do it this way than just dragging the font into the Fonts folder. Sometimes they get corrupt, or certain programmes won’t recognise them.
If you’re running any other operating system I can’t help you – sorry!
Sometimes you have to re-open software before it will recognise the font. Sometimes you don’t. But if you don’t see it, just re-boot and it should be there.
My fonts are all available free of charge, and they should always stay that way. They are available on a few different font sites. If you run a font site and are interested in hosting my fonts, please just let me know. I’m always flattered to do so.
If you would be interested in having your handwriting turned into a font, please contact me. I may possibly be interested, depending on my timeschedule.
